Universal Raceway March Meltdown. Sunday March 25th, 2012

www.universalraceway.ca

Well, I have the new ride ready to go for Universal Raceway's March Meltdown Race this weekend. The car seems pretty good right out of the box but I guess we will see how she does come race day! The Universal crew has been putting on a great show for us this season and hopefully they get another good turnout on Sunday. Heading into Toronto Supercross Saturday though so I hope I am not too hung over :P

Temp body until Kris @ Darkside Designs get my standard paint done!

New Team!

Short Press release from Team Leader Kevin Taylor:

Ontario's new durango/great hobbies team...

No easy feat, but a team of 6 drivers with over 100 years of combined race experience, has been put together, and I'm excited about the results we're going to achieve both on AND off the track with this team.

Myself, Great Hobbies, and Team Durango, are happy to introduce the following list of drivers for Ontario...

Brian Belanger
Rick Endler
Chet Kelsey
John Summach
Steve Taylor
Kevin Taylor

Including myself, the team will be working hard to get our equipment changed over during the next few weeks, but expect to see us in full force in time for the Canadian Indoor Offroad Shootout. I also want to thank Durango and Great Hobbies for this opportunity, as well as thank the other guys on the team for their support as well.

I am really looking forward to working with a Canadian Company! It is exciting to see Great Hobbies step up their game to become a huge player in the Canadian market and keep those Canadian dollars at home. Team Durango is poised to become the best supported brand in Canada and I look forward to helping them increase brand awareness and market share! It is going to be a great year! See you at the track!

Cheers,
John

New lid!

Got local kid Nick Schweiger (NCS Custom Paint) to do up a Pavidis replica. I have always liked his colours since I was a kid back in the 90's. It is also the colours of Re/Max which ties in with my job...LOL. I still will have a traditional johnnyboy digital flame one done up though from my boy Kris Norlock (Darkside Designs). You can never have too many cool lids! The car is slowly turning into a Kyosho hybrid..Going on the car will be Kyosho bearings, ball studs, ball end caps, Big Bore shocks and hopefully idler gears and gear diff (if they fit). Not too impressed with the quality of some of the parts on this car to be honest (gets sloppy quick). Cheap Chinese plastic. The A Arms are quite strong though!

Case in point. How does this happen???
